Scientific Advisory Board

John Wallace
Dr. Wallace is CSO and Director of Antibe Therapeutics and is an Adjunct Professor of Physiology & Pharmacology at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences (University of Toronto), a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Queen’s University). From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Wallace was Founding Director of the Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute at McMaster University. He completed post-doctoral studies at the Wellcome Research Laboratories in London, England, and he holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham, England.
Kenneth R. Olsen
Prof. Olsen is Emeritus Professor of Physiology at the  Indiana University School of Medicine. His research interests focus on the detection of low oxygen (hypoxia) by blood vessels and their subsequent mechanisms for regulating blood flow. Prof. Olsen has identified a novel oxygen “sensing” mechanism using hydrogen sulfide His research involves three aspects of H2S biology; 1) the role of H2S in oxygen sensing in the cardiovascular system, 2) H2S production and metabolism in tissues, and 3) the applicability of a variety of newly developed H2S-donating drugs in physiology and medicine. These studies are especially relevant to coronary artery disease, stroke, COPD, sleep apnea and altitude acclimation.
Ben Bonavida
Prof. Bonavida is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. His research interests focus on various functions of the immune system, particularly the induction of apoptosis  and the resistance of tumor cells to immunotherapy.
